It was the typical appointment and everything looks good. I gained a pound, which is not as much as I'm supposed to have gained, but she said she wouldn't complain as long as I didn't lose anything. I got a little lecture for not drinking enough water, as usual, and we found out once again, that Baby is uncooperative. Well, I had a small part in it. Apparently I have an over-powering heart beat, and Baby doesn't like to hold still, so we couldn't get its heart beat with the Doppler. They do however, have a brand new shiny ultrasound machine across the hallway so we just hopped over there to take a look and make sure everything was still going okay. So, I got an unexpected visit with Baby. It's a very active little kid, which I'm sure I'll be feeling the affects of. Actually, I felt baby yesterday, so I guess I'm already feeling the affects of our little dancer. I got to see the teeny tiny little fingers that will be used to harass big brother, and its little legs straight up in the air. Baby did cooperate enough to give us a profile view, so it must have been feeling especially considerate today.
I'm still not really showing. I look a little thicker, but most people probably couldn't tell unless I pointed it out, and I'm not really sure anyone but me could tell then either. All this time I've heard that you show about a month earlier with your second kid, and here I am on the same track as I was with Noah. I have a picture of my baby belly at 17 weeks with Noah, and it's way bigger than what I have now at 15 weeks. Maybe I'll just pop all of the sudden. I'm kinda hoping it can wait a little bit longer because I bought a dress for a wedding I'm going to and it fits me perfectly. The wedding is about a week and a half away, so it's soon, but I kept the receipt just in case. The dress would probably be fine if my tummy got a little bigger, but not by a whole lot. So, ya hear that kiddo? Stay back my Momma's spine for another week or so. Then you can pop out all you want.
